Why Leia Finally Forgave Anakin IN CANON - Star Wars Lore

I came up with this idea for the sequel trilogy. The reason Anakin never appeared to Kylo and why Ben even turned in the beginning was because Leia refused to forgive Anakin.

Now obviously she had every right not to, but as we know in Star Wars: anger is destructive. It ruins all lives. Only by letting go can you have peace. And that’s what happens to Leia.
She couldn’t move on from her bitterness and that’s why she quits her Jedi training, but she uses politics as an excuse.
She names her son Ben because she secretly wishes Ben will look up to Obi Wan, and NOT Anakin.
She sees similarities between Anakin and Ben and that scares her. So she sends him away to Luke who she hopes can influence and help him in the way she wants.
And Ben puts this all together after he finds out and it influences his eventual decision to copy Vader

And Anakin never appeared to Ben/Kylo because Leia didn’t want him to and he respected her wishes. Only after years of grappling with her son’s fall, and she’s on her deathbed does she finally realize her own mistake and forgives her father. This act would allow Anakin to finally appear to Ben and lead him back to the light

I just wish Anakin’s force spirit actually appeared in the sequel trilogy. He’s the main character of the last two trilogies and was entirely absent aside from a brief voice 😢

In Legends, she wasn't able to fully forgive because she had to separate Anakin and Vader as two people, so I will say I like that in canon Leia was able to fully forgive him, like Luke did

I honestly feel that upon passing into the Force, Leia came to know of it all. Her father. Her mother. The Chosen One's destiny. The balance. All of it. You transcend once you pass into the Force, life and death, the truth and reality. All knowing. Kenobi did say he would become more powerful that Vader could possibly imagine. AND THAT is what i think he meant. You become the Force yourself because there is no death, only the Force, you are merely just ascending. Therefore you are what is and what has been. Everything collides. So I know Leia knows of why her father fell now.

I hope they make a series where Leia visit the Netherworld of force where she Anakin's earlier life and she see how a tragedy turn him to the dark side courtesy of a Sith God-King or The Bendu

This makes more sense to me then Leia forgiving and naming her son after Anakin. Her and Luke had different opinions on Vader/Anakin because they had different experiences. Leia was tortured by him, so was Han, he blew up her planet etc. For all her life until after Return of the Jedi he was Vader. For Luke all the way up until Empire Strikes Back he was Anakin. He grew up hearing stories about his father, he refused to acknowledge him as anything but Anakin and Anakin saved his life.
It makes sense she wouldn't forgive or think of him anything but Vader until Ben turned. Now she had a son doing evil things. Like her father had, he had been saved, maybe Ben could too. She knew Ben hadn't been evil before, so many her father wasn't either. I like her thinking about Shmi too.

Very good video although I prefer better the way she forgave him in legends as she related to her grandmother shmi and saw Anakin trought her lenses to see that before this monter he was an innocent child

Here are my issues with this story, first and foremost Ben Solo never existed before Disney butchered Star Wars. Second, as I remember Anakin Solo was the oldest of the three Solo children.
