Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action! Two steam tours within an hours’ timing at York, something I couldn’t miss out. Firstly, there was the one was ‘The Christmas White Rose’ ran by Saphos Trains from St Albans to York hauled by (to my surprise) 60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ and shortly later there was another ‘The Christmas White Rose’ ran by the Railway Touring Company hauled by Black 5 44871. Both these engines attracted dozens of other rail enthusiasts, photographers etc but I say the A4 got the most attention. Anyways, other than the steamers, there was the standard passenger services but no freight which was annoying. Hope you all enjoy this!
