They literally only slept apart for 6 weeks or something 😂 sometimes good sleep is more important than being next to uour partner every night.

Dude, sounds great until you have a husband whose farts and snores could wake the dead.

Sleeping in the same bed is a new concept. Hundreds of years ago, royal families had separate sleeping chambers. And even decades ago couples often slept in separate beds (I Love Lucy) is an example. Sleeping together or separate is no reflection of your relationship.

I can get doing it while your kid isn't sleeping through the night, but it just feels wrong otherwise. Waking up together is important, to me at least. I have a hell of a time falling asleep if I'm not the big spoon.

Context: they had 2 babies in 14 months. One of them would handle the baby in the middle of the night while the other was away from the sound and could sleep long enough to be rested for the switch in the morning. Then when baby was sleeping through the night, they slept together again.

My grandparents had separate bedrooms and where very happily married they ended having 12 children and god knows how many grandchildren i never thought anything about it never questioned it some folks just prefer sleeping alone i guess i know grandma worked third shift before she retired but idk if that was why the separate rooms or not

I feel like the resentment from broken sleep, tiredness associated with lack of sleep/multiple wake ups, and general misery of sharing a bed with somone who is dead to the world, oblivious to you silently raging because its impossible to get a decent nights rest next to somone who constantly moves, snores like a demon and sleep moans so loudly no earbuds are a match, is WAY more damaging then seperate sleeping spaces. Because my sanity was tested and i ended up hating bedtime and yes i hated HIM, even though its completely out of his control. Ive got my own bed now and it works.
Do whats best for you.

A lot of people get internet famous by being indifferent. This is inhumane to force someone to sleep together with you or even hint at exploring options when you know they're lightsleeper or are uncomfortable in any way. I wouldn't force my partner to sleep with me if he needed that space. It's totally their personal space. They may or may not want to share it with me. Regardless we have any reason or not.

I feel like my relationship would be over if we had to sleep in separate rooms. I love holding my husband at night. And I love when we holds me. Makes me feel loved and safe. We’ve been together for 10 years and we have three little ones.
If it works for your relationship though, do it, but seems kinda weird to me.

No. My ex had this as an answer to different shifts. No we would t ne able to sleep together during thw week but the schedule would allow for us to have 5 hours together before i went to my midnight job.
She couldnt wake up a but earlier to allow me to wake up earlier for us to have time and a meal or at the very least sezz and cuddle when i wake up .
We are no longer together
