I still think he’s overrated but in the opposite sense. Everyone loves to praise him and call him a hero. Itachi was not a hero. He committed genocide and murdered hundreds, including babies and children. I don’t care what kind of explanation you try to give, that is never the right option. He supports and covers up for the people who are committing systemic racism against an entire group of people. He basically supported and helped the people who had the same kind of mindset Hitler has. And both the series and the entire fandom barely acknowledge how messed up that is.
