Fugaku didn’t want war, he wanted fairness. His clansmen were suffering and they wanted redemption. As the leader it was his duty to see through the needs of not only his immediate family, but his clan. He didn’t see cause for bloodshed unless completely necessary. The leaf village was just as precious to Fugaku as it was to Itachi if not MORE. Seeing his son make the decision to wipe his own kin to avoid war, was probably enough trauma for him to give into Itachi’s ploy. His love for the village and his grief and pure care for his son was too heavy a burden to even try fighting back. It just seemed as if fate would have it, that he leave the rest to his bloodline.

To this day, Fugaku hasn't been done justice. There needs to be something put out by Kishimoto that tells and SHOWS just how powerful and goated he really was. Cause he was more than powerful to have been named the 4th Hokage, and had done just as much if not more than Minato to defend Konoha during the 3rd war.

Fugaku is underrated. He is respectable and virtuous character! I low-key -simp- STAN for Fugaku (🧡✨). He was and is a perfect father figure for the likes of Itachi.

He deserved much better. Fugaku and his like (particularly 1w9) are perfect archetypical-soldiers, warrior and samurai. Much respect! 🙇🙇‍♂️
