Good video, here's some things I have found on my NKB1000 & NVR5x-I:
* Logging into the keyboard will also login to the NVR. This saves entering the pattern on the NVR with a mouse. This can be a downside if you setup the NKB with the admin password of the NVR, because then a user level login on the NKB logs into the NVR as admin.
* Some camera functions can work with the NKB, I notice entering PTZ menu of my fixed thermal camera and 2+OTHER can activate the white light.
* Controlling say channel 2 PTZ: 2+PTZ brings that camera full screen and activates PTZ operations. No need to select 2+CAM, then 2+PTZ.
* You can change PTZ's settings via their OSD, say Channel 2 PTZ: 2+PTZ, then SETUP+OTHER and use joystick.
* Pressing SHIFT turns on/off monitor tour.
* Logging out of the NKB can be done by pressing ID, then ESC a few times. Pressing ID then another number logs into another device setup (e.g. ID 1 is NVR, ID 2 is a second NVR).
* 1+AUX brings up Record mode, 2+AUX brings up PTZ mouse controls of the NVR's right click menu.
* ENTER without anything else in use goes into the NVRs main menu.

Downsides I would like Dahua to fix, or I don't know the function:
* Toggling Arming/Disarming of the NVR.
* Manually activating the siren and/or flashing lights on a TiOC camera. (In my case) a TiOC PTZ while you are controlling it.
* Custom split screen layouts cannot be called with #+MULT. This would probably need an ID number set in the NVR's custom split screen setup.
* A panic backup group would be nice, e.g. 0+FN sets the NVR to panic record a pre-setup group of cameras. (I keep all my cameras recording 24/7, but for some operators it could be useful).
* Using the keyboard is not avaliable for searching on many windows, e.g. searching the human detection, facial recognition.
* Manually activating an alarm output (relay)…. although this could get tricky with multiple Alarm boxes added.
* Auto login on the NKB, I'm the sole user and I don't care about security of someone else using the joystick.
* LCD screen backlight is always on or off. An option for the backlight to come on when the keyboard is interacted with, then a user set delay before it turns off (e.g. 2min).

One really bad annoyance I have with the NKB100 (not the -E) is that it does not respond to an IP scanning tool other than the Dahua Config tool. It took me a while to find it's MAC ID so I could add a DCHP reservation on my router.

I don't understand about preset. I would like to know how to creat, to call and to clean (undo) the preset.

After not using the keyboard for 10 minutes, it locks itself and you need to enter to password again. That is *extremely* annoying. Is it possible to disable that?
