Leslyn would make a great minister of justice. Pierre for PM. Baber seems genuine and impressive but the 1 goal is get rid of mr totalitarian fancy socks.

I had to force myself to watch after the mind numbing election debates last fall with pretend moderators asking meaningless questions. But when I heard that Candice Malcolm was moderating, i was determined to watch. The entire event was riveting and the questions so on point. This is the best political debate I recall ever watching. Please don’t wreck it with MSM! I appreciated the lively debate, that the questions reflected what the people of Canada are asking, and that by the answers (vs our non-answering, escape artist PM), I really came to better know the candidates. This was time well spent. In my humble opinion, Roman Baber was the best debater, Pierre was able to provide fact-filled responses (very important based on the last 2 years of government misinformation) and Leslyn challenged accountability. Roman, Pierre and Leslyn all delivered clear and well laid strategies to the issues presented. I was only disappointed that the issue Western representation wasn’t addressed, and none of the 5 addressed the woke issues (CRT, colonialism, blah, blah, ). I have now eliminated non-attendee Patrick who?, Jean Charest and Scott Aitchison..

Charest should stay retired. Pierre for prime minister with the other candidates as a strong support group.

A person has to take the Debate hand in hand with what’s been said in the House of Commons by each candidate. That being said, Poilievre is the clear winner, Lewis still spinning the “Digital Currency” is beyond belief, Charest doing everything “Liberal light” is par for his course. The other two are still good ministers and can pick up more experience under the new PM.

I find it interesting they're all talking about freedom now but when the convoy was there only one of them was talking about freedom then and only one of them still States the same case and that'll be the next prime minister of this country Pierre

I thought Roman Baber wasn't a serious candidate but he did very well. Scott Aitchison was impressive although he kinda lost me with the "conspiracy theorist" comments. Leslyn Lewis got heated at first but settled in. Pierre Poilievre went a bit too far in going after Jean Charest... That being said, Charet (like Peter MacKay) needs to slide into the tarpits and stay there.

Look, elections are dirty business. Not that any candidates are or want to be dirty. But like boxing for the heavyweight title, you will have to fight dirty opponents. So you need to deal with that, and Pierre is the guy who can trip up the liberals style of nasty politics!

It's not one vote winner take all. The 2nd vote involves deal making and that is when party backrooms get involved and a secobd or third place wins. Kind of backwards. But a membership so you can vote

I am not really too concerned about who won the debate. I am concerned about the the trash talking used between them. Because at the end when a winner is voted to be that leader of the opposition. People will habe a negative opinion based on all that was said about him/her. It also give a perspective that there is a division in the party.

That said that's not a bad win because Pierre has the ability to confront anyone in cabinet.

Roman is the only one worth respecting. He stood up against the mandates will all the others kept their mouths shut for fear of repercussions and now the want to tell everyone how they stand for freedom. And what is Jean Charette even doing there? That party is done.
