Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking the bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.

only 1% of reddit participated, *so they only used 1% of their power*

Good on you for sharing that they shorted more stock than exists, most MSM outlets leave that part out, but you didn't fully explain how genius it was. If the stock's shorted 140%, that means it HAS to be bought back!

So by selling large quantities of shares at once, they drop the price, which helps them make more money. And that's not market manipulation. But when the opposite happens (people buying stock which brings the price up and forces hedge fund managers to buy more stock, further increasing the stock price) that's market manipulation?
Furthermore, I don't know why people don't just buy large quantities of stock hedge funds are betting against on a regular basis. Wouldn't that create quick bubbles people can profit off of at the expense of the rich?

Only that it was revealed in the SEC report on gamestop that no hedge funds covered their short positions during the run up to 400$ range. The price spike was solely that of individual investors

If we had politicians with the public interest in mind, Hedge Funds would be illegal. Good report, BBC.

The finale is yet to come, at some point they'll have to buy shares to cover all the shorts. There's not enough shares available or volume to to do that, if we all hold we literally name our price. 1k? 10k? 69420.69 ?

I don’t know anything about stocks and the market, so the whole situation just sounds like when a family member borrows $20 from you. When you ask for the money back, they say “Give me another week and I’ll give you $25”. A week passes, they come to you and say “Let me buy you dinner to pay you back”. The dinner ends up being $30, so now you owe them $5, but during the dinner, you only ate $10 worth of food and they ordered $20 worth
