I'm a long term holder of NKE, over 10+ years. I originally planned to hold it until retirement age. When I saw their latest dip, it's concerning, but I bought more. Why? Because I see the positives, and the negatives. The positives (e.g high margins, roe, dividend growth) outweigh the negatives and I know there's trouble currently (e.g. increased competition and decreased sales projections), but given my time horizon of being able to hold for at least another 20 years, I'm hopeful they'll recover by then. I wouldn't recommend getting into NKE unless you plan to hold for at least 5+ years while waiting for their "turnaround, " unless of course you're a day trader.

Nike is going back up to $80-85 next week. Easy money

Very overblown, they grew their bottom line still, and the revenue only missed by 2%. Easy buy and hold under $80. Nike will bounce back, always does.

I'm new to all this, but so far I've learned that the performance of a stock and the performance of a company are two different things. So...what are we talking about?

Nike is the preferred brand of gen z by a wide margin. Adjustments needed, but brand remains strong going forward

I was considering buying some on Monday but my question was “will it do better than 10% per year over the next 10 years”? I don’t believe it will so I’d rather buy sp500

Just saying I did a 6% discounted FCF model with a flat 3% growth for next 10 years and got an intrinsic value of $60. Not a no brainer easy money I think

This is your most appreciated video from me so far. I was watching Nike for the first sign the sell off was over to hop in. Now I'll watch much longer. Great info. I see the Nike sale and forget the prices on sales are usually jacket up then put on sale

Can you comment on this management. The past downturns were managed and turn around by the old Nike management. No one is sure the current team is up to the task.

No growth, dividend not big enough to get it for the dividend and it's not in the value territory even at this price... It will take quite awhile for them to turn things around. Meanwhile I think it would be dead money pretty much. Not to mention how much it would be slowed down if a recession hits in that period. It could be interesting once we see any signs of recovery, meanwhile there are much better options to put your money into.

I won't touch Nike because of the very near possibility of a consumer recession. I mean in a lot of ways were already in a silent recession. I like Nike and I use their products myself, but even I've slowed down on spending. Less shopping, a little less eating out, canceled my rarely used tv aps, and of course I foumd cheaper insurance and switched. I make really good money but I refuse to overpay for things. If you want something that might be good I'm personally going to start a small position in ARS pharmaceuticals as they just got their Euro Neff recommended by their version of FDA and it just needs to be fully approved by councel. The FDA is set to make a decision too later this year. I could see a cheaper easier to use nasel spray version of the epi pen being huge. It's not guaranteed or anything but it's lookilike a good risk to reward to.

I think LULU is a much better business and a value play than Nike. They are growing their revenue at much faster rates than Nike and LULU margins are much higher than Nike as well. I think Nike could be a legitimate value play if it falls much more.

Nike has 3 major problems. 1 Their shoe quality has gone way down over the last 5-10 years. The second problem is their shoes are WAY to expensive, charging more for the name than the quality. 3 they alienated half to domestic population with their woke agenda and costs themselves life long supporters for no good reason. They charge 200+ for a pair of shoes and target the poorest communities as their main clients. If I wear the CEO of Nike and I wanted to destroy Nike I would do 3 things, piss off half the country, degrade shoe quality and charge more for the shoes. The other thing I would do is make sure I dont have a partnership with key retailers like Amazon…. Oh wait….
