This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.

But it's how I do it.

WOW ... Jackpot! I believe the best tip for drag soldering is the one with the little cup in the end of the tip (just left of center in the picture you showed) - it carries a little ball of solder across the pads when dragging. Looking forward to those kit builds!

A man makes mistakes. A good man admits to his mistakes. But a great man. He not only makes and admits to them, he admits to them and points to his half drank glass of beer when he admits it! 🤣🤣🤣
You got a great mailbag of stuff today! Have fun with the programming headaches! Love our Canadian maker friends!
Keep your stick on the ice.
Yeah I use to watch Red Green.

I have quite a few SonOff's around the house, now running Tasmota, and very useful looking probes at the beginning. something to look in to. Ho nice looking beer as well.

Nice video !! Ordered some of those microscopic grabbers - they looked cool!. Nice to see you get dragged into the home automation stuff. Download Tasmota for the SONOFF and run it on Home Assistant. Thumbs up as always.

I just ordered some mini grabbers, I think I’m going to have to look for those Dupont grabbers as well.
I’ve been noticing stuff that I leave sitting in my shopping cart even going up in price within one week when I go back to make the purchase. I hope that trend stops right fast.
That’s a lot of great stuff from several different countries you hauled in this time!

hi, those initial clipping pins, are they isolated? All that exposed metal, they can shorten something if grabbing adjacent pins of some IC, if not... like at 3:06, 2 of them seem to be touching...

Really enjoy watching your channel. Where did you get the beer? A while back I took a little workshop in Toronto on how to make a breadboard led project. I have since lost the documentation, any chance you could give me some direction as to how to get it wired correctly ? There is a button on there to make the led flash.
Was in Winnipeg for two years working on the design of the MH Keeyask project. Yes, pretty cold. Cheers

Nice to view your channel very monday! I also use the olimex board it's realy great. It's one of the boards how also support Ethernet with a cable. So i can use them on places where i have no wlan or in companies. I only have troubles with the relais. If i switch to often the boards hangs up! There is also a smaler version aviable how supports power over Ethernet.

The shipping is because the mail is so slow now they only ship with tracking #s. I ordered stuff with standard and they shipped with # and was told that is why.

Hi Those tiny IC test clips look interesting -- but I notice that you did not mention 2 more

IC test clips that are available from Ebay . There are the low cost and easy to find ones

which are mini versions of the large ones you have, they are about 4 cm long and very good.

The others are harder to find and expensive, they are about 3.3 cm long .

I can send photos or perhaps Ebay links if you need more info .

I think the shipping charges are due to a lot of items needing to be sent with tracking now where most were sent untracked before.
That's what I have found here in Australia anyway. It would make shipping more expensive.
Then again, it might just be the Chinese sellers trying to make some money back due to being offline for so long :)

What's the ruler you have there? Looks nice.

I don't understand the chisel tip. No one likes them except for certain use cases so they should just make less and give everyone a bc2. Haha
I've watched his channel. He's the real deal man. He can make anything.
