For me the light meter came in handy when finishing my basement, we had a lot of new lighting projects at work and for this a meter essential. Better to have more light than less light.

I too have changed over to ordering things from Ali Express, I do like a lot of their products, but it is hard to contact anyone from issues. Banggood has been disappointing me lately, sending defective or damaged items, kits that are already assembled and refusing to exchange these items. I had to go thru PayPal to get any action from BG. The only thing banggood does is offer bonus credits to your account, and not actual exchanges or refunds. PayPal contacts them, BG counters with frivolous offers, but not what they should be offering. I wanted to exchange the non working assembled kit, and they offered me to return it to China at my cost, and then send me 1, 200 bonus points after they "receive" the return in their warehouse... the problem is it was shipped from a California shipping address. PayPal stepped in and just refunded my money.

That heat break Jensen sent you is a bi-metal heat break which helps prevent too much heat transfer to the bowden.

Lots of eBay and AliExpress sellers just mediating dropshipping for identical products. Tends to be easy to tell when the product images (I hesitate to call them "photos") are identical. Maybe it cuts down on men-in-the-middle.

Fun haul overall.

I can't make out the specs on the light meter on this tablet. Is it linear across the visible spectrum? If so it would be useful for brightness - matching LEDs.

Light Meter like that Uni-T is about 10 times cheaper than a half-way accurate one. They are notoriously inaccurate with LED light sources, and the standard (lab) meter calibration system uses an incandescent/halogen source. Since LEDs don't emit light in a continuous spectrum, you get wild inaccuracies since the sensor response is not designed for that.
So, for broad comparisons, that will be OK. But don't use it for anything "mission critical".

Light meter - Does it go down to 1 or 2 decimal places. We install emergency lighting for work and sometimes test the lux at 0.2 minimum. It's hard to find affordable light meters that go that low.

Great video again. Really fancy some of the addressable led neon but that price puts me off but it may be worth the extra cost if the IP rating is any good.
So much for being a cheapskate! 🤣
