10 Things You NEED To KNOW About Working With SYNC MUSIC LIBRARIES

Here's a list of things I would have liked to have known before I signed on with any sync music libraries. Here's the best part, you don't need to have a following on social media to thrive in this business, you don't need a fanbase at all. All you need is good music, and 'never give up' attitude.

I'm gonna follow this account just because he spared me a long dumb intro and because I like his guitars

For many years I've been struggling to understand what genre I should specialise in when pursuing my passion from music. Because I like producing R&B lo-fi drill cinematic, sometimes pop house, etc. Since hearing about MusicSync, I realised that this is probably the best industry, that I should have a go in, because I can showcase my passion for music and all of the genres which I like composing for. thank you for this informative video I really appreciate your time.

Hey thanks for this. I have been developing a company based on Adventure Recording, compositions made from obscure field recordings. I have been confused on how to get them to market, and your words helped. Thank you.

This is fantastic content and I’m looking forward to getting started. I’m a composer based in Glasgow, Scotland looking to start my sync licensing adventure. I’m learning so many tips on YouTube for free which is amazing so I really appreciate it. I was hoping to do Tommy Zee’s course but I just can’t afford it so these videos go a long way! ❤

I appreciate this info, I have reached part time income but would really like to kick it up to being able to work music full time. At your level, are you choosing to build a YouTube channel and education platform because you’ve hit a ceiling or you just want a change of pace?

I’m just wondering if it would be necessary for me to pursue similar things if I want to go beyond a certain level

Thank you! Is it best to copyright, publish, and register material with BMI/ASCAP before submitting it to royalty-free libraries? What about production libraries - if you already have published/released artist material, are production libraries interested in that? Do they typically ask you to sign over your publishing if it's already setup, or is it too late for them to want to work with you at that point?

Hi Stevie, thank you for this valuable information! I wanted to ask you something regarding singer/songwriters. My main goal with sync licensing is to grow my fanbase. So in that case, would you even recommend going to a royalty free site? I mean, making money is great too. But what is the best place to pitch songs that are already written and meant to be listened to outside of TV/film?

Hi Stivie! Sorry for asking! Are you exclusive with Motion Array and Artlist? Or are the same songs on both platforms? Last question, can you use exclusive songs on your personal Spotify profile? Thank you so much always!!

Not sure if you’re going to read this since im very late, but I was wondering if under 18 year olds could make money off of sync lisensing?
I’ve been making music for about 4 years now and I do believe my music is at a level where I could be earning money.
Thanks!
