MISTAKE In my tiredness I actually completely overcomplicated the 1st puzzle. Please ignore the diagram entirely. It's 3 torches in the back and 1 in the front. So torches like this:

I can confirm not everyone on the fireteam needs to complete the “In The Shadow Of The Mountain” quest. Just have at least one person with it done. Everyone will get the catalyst as long as they have the Buried Bloodline weapon and complete the puzzles.

FYI you can break the blight with any weapon.

So fun facts. You don’t need to use buried bloodline to start the torches. Also as long as one of the people in your fireteam has completed the quest you can all go inside the final room. You still need to have buried bloodline to get catalyst.

Its nice to see the quest have actual purpose besides the lore (witch I'm in love with) but you need to complete it to get the catalyst. Now all i need to do is get the weapon

Helpful guide, just did this solo, the puzzle timings are VERY tight but doable with a eager Icarus dash warlock. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE SOLO THIS, if possible. I did because my internet currently doesn’t allow me to matchmaker with people so I have to solo everything and can’t play PvP or Gam- yea. 😅

A lot of this dungeon gave me zombies/Der Eisendrache vibes. Happy that the catalyst keeps it up instead of being dropped from master difficulty.

*Can confirm you need the "In the shadow of the mountian" quest completed to be able to get the catalyst. Also just seen someone mention if someone has the gun AND the quest done, they can do the catalyst puzzle for anyone with the gun but NOT the quest. Just thought it'd be nice to toss in here.

U can actually do step 8 of the quest and the catalyst at the same time saves you a extra run

It would appear that helping someone else get their cat, gives the person who has the cat already, extra progression process on their own one. 20% or so progress.

Does the catalyst puzzle completion give those who don’t have the exotic an increased chance for a drop of the exotic like the navigator for Ghost of the Deep?

For example.. Can I do the 1st blight puzzle then leave and carry on a few days later from the cp ?

This video was such a clutch, I just used the system of fireteams and I found a team composed by Chinese players, they wanted this and asked me for help. I agreed and searched a tutorial, this one pop out, it was so fun to try to explain the puzzles using the most basic communication. After every puzzle done they would just write "ok" but when we were done they thanked me and it was really sweet.
