Is BCD (Binary Coded Decimal) different than binary or same ? | Comparison of BCD and binary.

In this video I have explained , comparison of BCD and binary . BCD is fast and efficient in some cases , but it takes lot of storage and it's range is also less when compared to binary with same number of bits .

CPU perform arithmetic operation in binary or bcd?
If alu use binary suppose I gave 2 input 0010 0010 for add then added gave result 0100
How computer translate it to decimal human understandable form 4

It is simple example but assume if we r giving 4 byte input as integer ND get 4 byte result as integer
So which hardware translate it to decimal and how
