My only gripe about this game is that I spend 40% of the time waiting for it to load the next "map/section." Why we can't fast travel from inside caves/buildings is baffling and it adds unnecessary loading time. Time I could be spending actually playing the game.

This game was really awesome, unfortunately it came out only a few months after Skyrim and Dark Souls released with basically no marketing to push sales, and ‘38 Studios’ didn’t have the budget to deal with a massive open world game like KoA:R flopping as their one and only project and went bankrupt

Hopefully THQ does something with the IP because it’s actually a really cool world that was meant to not only kickstart 38, but spawn a whole series as well, and honestly I could have seen it happening if the game launched better

If the original can't be found, get KoA Re-reckoning. It has all of the main doc outside of Fatesworn and all tge special weapons and armor from the original game in the first town.

I got my copy of this game in discount not long ago and if wasn't for Angry Joe I wouldn't know abut this game either, the marketing for this game wasn't very good which was the reason why not many didn't heard of this one.

Just started playing this again after something like maybe 15-20 hours initially absolute tops just trying to get a feel for it when I got for one of the PS Plus free monthlies. But instead of being a drug junkie anymore, I’ve become a video game collecting hoarder, constantly buying new stuff when There’s still way too much I need to catch up on. So it fell to the wayside at the time. But still wanting a dope action RPG, but very much definitely needing a break from Elden Ring. I got it less than a year ago but I was too damn Intimidated to give it a try until about 60 hrs worth of gameplay put in.. I love the fucking adrenaline rush and trying to contain and control it without losing your cool, call mom and ultimately disregarding the patience and precision a FromSoft game is meant to bestow and instill within the player. But its hard to wind down and pass out if I play right before bed. Earlier in my day, no biggie, but Amalur allows me to kind of scratch a similar itch in a lot of ways. But also not feeling like you just mainlined about 17 pre workouts, 52 Red Bulls, and 7 course meal containing all of Human’s favorite stimulants all on one plate in one dose. Scooby Doo Gene Simmons tongue lashing that shit making Hunter S Thompson wish he was still alive!! And it’s so wild that it’s basically like a super group make an RPG with the baseball players, favorite people in the industry that he wanted to work with one mainly that really tipped the night for trying it out in the first place, Todd McFarlane. I know there’s tons more superficial legit names on that company roster as well, but McFarlane has, and will always have; a place in my heart, mind, and soul forever 🙌🦾🙌

Needless to say Im just now really getting into the thick of it and understanding semi what’s going on. But dammit I love this game, and on Normal difficulty it was exactly what I was looking for. Certainly will be spending some serious time with this one for a lil bit!! HIGHHHHLY RECOMMEND!?!? 🎉😂🎉

KoAR is amazing, but it's unnecesiraly long. If it was like a 20 hour game, it would be 10/10 for me. With my gametime of 80 hours, t's like 6/10. Too long and repetetive

I mean, I don't know how you missed it, but its pretty hughly regarded. Its a really well known game, too, definitely not a hidden gem. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you were just REALLY young eleven years ago, and maybe that's why you never heard of it.
