Fundamentals of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

This video is about SCADA.The content of the video combines video clips of my training at the Meralco Foundation institute (MFI) , now MFI Polytechnic Inc. in Pasig City, near Meralco Main Office. Also found in this video are the slides of power point, which were converted to JPG format and again converted to movie format using Microsoft Movie Maker, which comes so handy in a simple application like this.
SCADA system is a centralized system that monitors and controls the entire area. It is a pure software package that is positioned on top of the hardware. A supervisory system gathers data on the process and sends the commands control to the process. It s commonly used in power plant, Oil and Gas, Water, Electric Utilities and Transportation applications like MRT, LRT and the complicated circuits and sophisticated networks of trains such as those found in Germany or Japan and London, UK.
