The Top 100 Best Cities in the World, as ranked by Resonance Consultancy’s Best Cities project.

The best cities in the world were compiled and published by Best Cities, a project of consultancy firm Resonance Consultancy. The goal of the project is to be a credible source when it comes to city performance and livability, both for local residents and foreigners.

Urban tourism has been on the rise in recent years. Resonance Consultancy is an advisory firm with a focus on tourism, real estate and economic development. They determine a city’s livability on a number of factors, and share their knowledge with partners and clients.

The Best Cities project provides information on how appealing a city is based on six criteria: Place, Product, Programming, People, Prosperity, and Promotion. The higher a city ranks in each of these six criteria, the higher its overall ranking.

To be included in the list of the top 100 best cities in the world, a city should have a population of more than one million. The cities come from all over the globe, from all continents excluding Antarctica. The United States is the country with the most cities in the list, with 34 cities.
