Keep seeing/hearing pundits talk about how he’s never done it at a top club before. But no one’s ever done anything until they’ve actually done it.

Problem is, Chelsea are running out of options as they have had just about every manager going

Everton fan here well worth a try Graham Potter done great things with Brighton. Alot of people already doubting him before he has even started. People like pep have never managed a small club always big clubs what makes then the great managers? They have the best players on the world behind them

On Potter, there is a difference between knowing how to fight as an underdog and how to fight as a top dog.

Potter is a unique character. Highly intelligent. Extremely good man manager. All the credentials of a super career ahead. and he is English. Given time; which Chelsea are APPALLING at giving, evidenced by their history. Chelsea and Potter will have a long bright future together. It takes time to build a team__Have you the patience? Best of luck Graham. Chelsea have a

Graham Potter is a similar risk and situation when David Moyes was doing a great job at Everton when old Trafford came calling after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.. We knew what happened after that.

Truth is every manager is a risk, some more than others.

I agree with some of the things Andy Townsend and obviously the step up between Brighton and Chelsea is massive and Potter hasn't managed top class players before. But everyone has to start somewhere, there was a time where Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Conte hadn't managed top class teams and owners took a calculated risk on those managers.

I don't support Chelsea but I'm pleased to see a fantastic English coach get given an opportunity at a top club and I really hope he does well.

I believe Chelsea will look back in 4 years, after another 3 managers and regret this moment

Potter is a fantastic coach, but this chelsea situation is a disaster waiting to happen. Bohley hasn't got a clue what he's doing, potter has no european football experience, and this team is full of egos. It's a massive jump from Brighton. I love potter but i think he should've held out for a more gradual step like West Ham, Villa... then try to jump to the big 6

Diego Simione would be great for Chelsea.European experience can handle big players and bid egos and has tactical knowledge and won't put up with any nonsense

Boehly has got two rookie managers as such at LA Dodgers and Lakers. Lakers coach Dawrin Ham is his first main coaching role and Dodgers Dave Roberts is his 2nd job and his been there 7tears. Personal life I think affected Tucel since the news of the divorce last year Chelsea have been shakey and his doesn't look right in himself or sound happy. I loved him be sad to see him go but hopefully he can get his mojo back now. I am just glad not getting Poch.

Potter a great manager but I agree with Townsend, there going to be a lot egos he got to control, expectation bigger you can't just brush a loss off.

This is my breakdown of top 10 reasons TT got sacked:
1. Worst home form of any chelsea manager in the abromavich era
2. Sold tomori, geuhi, livemento, all young CBs for nothing saying they were not good enough...they've all gone on to become mainstays in the epl and serie a..tomori won the scudetto...guehi got England callup
3. Sold Tammy for 40mm and pushed the board to get him a striker...spent 100mm on Lukaku and wasn't able to integrate him into the offense ...Tammy meanwhile is lighting up in serie a
4. Refused to play a top young talent in Broja saying he needed a more seasoned striker...went and got Auba at 33 years old.i think he was lining to get Broja sold
5. Bought fofana (75mm), koulibaly (35mm), cucurella (60mm) and despite having Levi Colwill (top recruited left footed defender) and chalobah (how much exists in quality difference between chalobah and fofana...in my opinion they are the same)
6. His offense had become too rigid...how do you have a whole team playing with people out of position ...continued trying to play pulisic, odoi, ziyech as wingbacks when they are true out and out wingers...plays mount, Gallagher in the midfield pivot when they not suited, plays havertz, pulisic, sterling at 9 when they are not suited
7. Spent 260mm on players but style of play regressed immensely...actually since December our win percentage has to be one of the lowest in the league
8. Lost to dynamo Zagreb a team that spent 5mm this off season whilst he spent 260mm
9. Was great at cup competitions having reached almost every final for all the cups he participated in but seems not to have been able to maintain a team's focus for a full season...wheels fell off in December and already this season we were seeing the same
10. Continues to play out of form play like azpi, jorginho, mount, havertz despite having other options on the bench...new ownership spent on young talent like chukwuemeka, casadei, slonina but no path for these players to play under TT...I think this is what timstely did him in, having massive youth talent but not knowing hoe to use it or integrating the youths into the team...being open to selling Broja to westham was another crime he wanted to commit....

FT comments here just my thoughts

Good riddance to Tuchel - he can't get the most of the talent on the team and has underperformed since November/December. He has proven an inability to adapt and he's nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is.

If I were Potter, I'd stay put.

Why change a functional club/team for an enigma with different expectations ?
