Im pretty sure his comment meant that the myth was very obvious. "Switching to your pistol is faster than reloading" is just him saying that this myth was very obvious, so he was referring a myth that was also obious.

Actually FMJ says it raises damage AGAINST STREAKS in the description. The stat bar shows damage being higher, but we all know the stat bars aren't completely accurate.

It's easily true, reloading takes way longer that switching weapons. Maybe it would be interesting to see if it's quicker to reload using dual mags than switching weapons though.
