The changes are the rear fender are huge, looks like with a tail tide the rear fender set up will look way way way more modern and clean up well.
Adding compression adjustments to rear shock is huge, another massive edge over the crf300l. Black wheels and restyle plastics look great, new head light is much much better looking!

Returning to biking 20 yrs later only to find people needing to mod the same things (muffler, , fuel tank, pegs, air box, fuel mixture...bars...etc) to get it right. like time stood still.

I bought a 2023 KLX 300SM on May 10th and I am happy with my choice.

Mould a few plastic parts and up the price. Should have updated the seat, fuel tank, handlebars, foot pegs, fuel, gage and gear indicator and the engine, ie: more power and torque.

Looks good! Add a 3 gallon tank from the factory and it would be Great!

Kawi needs at least half a gallon more fuel. I got 120 miles range if I stayed off the highway. 150 miles or more are necessary for dual sport riding in the west.

Other new features besides the plastics are the LED headlight, new tail light/fender assembly. The mirrors have been revised too.(thicker mirror housing/more heavy duty stalks) Radiator shrouds are more narrow. Two tone seat, etc.

About the new LED headlight in the 2024 KLX300. I just bought one, and had a chance to ride it on some pitch black back roads. The LED headlight is very nice, really lights up the road, even on low beam. The downside is the LED headlight is a totally sealed unit, and if it ever fails the whole LED headlight assembly needs to be replaced at a retail cost from Kawasaki of around $950. Sure hope whoever designed the headlight specified some super long life LEDs in it. 😳

They also added a led headlight and gold forks. It would have been good if they would have upgraded the dashboard display as well.

Instead of " Bold new Graphics ", how about a 3 gal. gas tank ? Tired of carrying extra fuel.

Rebound dampening adjustment is a must...needs larger gas tank..

I bought a '18 KLX250 a second time with the blacked out engine, wheels, and camo cuz I liked it so much better than the high strung expensive enduro's. The '18 and '19 are still the best looking dual sport out there, dunno why they didnt keep the black out for the 300's. I dont like the redesign headlight either on these '24s

About the suspension adjustability @ 4:00 ... if you go to Kawasaki's website and look at the owner's manual for all KLX300s from 2021 to 2024, they all have the same suspension adjustments shown. So the summary information you are referencing is in error.

It looks like they tried to make it look like an actual competition motocross like a YZ or CRF when really it's just a mediocre trail bike/dual sport and 100% agree on your take of the headlight if funky is a polite way of saying ugly, It's like they're trying too hard with a bike that didn't need or deserve an update. Instead of a facelift they should've listened to the guys reviewing the bike and fixed issues they all found with it like the retro late 90's gauges, No gear indicator, No gas gauge, Tiny footpegs, Small fuel tank and handlebars made from the same metal as WWE garbage cans.

What's new? Certainly not the fuel gauge. Can you imagine the IQ on the guy that made this decision, even after people complaining about it? Keep doing the math between saving $80 bucks and losing a $6000 sale. What skills! Good vid btw. 😂❤
