First the download was followed by a message informing that it cannot run on this computer.  I downloaded from the store instead. Now its installed and appears in the App library.  Upon opening, Guide 1, 2, and 3 appear.  Not the media window as expected. Opening the devices sidebar  and select play. The response. This app can't play to a device right now.  WTF!   MS Surface has been and is a BIG disappointment

IF anyone uses VLC Media Player
you have a big problem.

Download SuperAntiSpyware and search your computer for Spyware
After downloading VLC Media player and watching 2 movies and then browsing internet I did a spyware scan and had 521 "Threats Detected"

I downloaded VLC because Windows Media Player has lip synch
problems with certain movies, but it is not worth it to use
VLC if I am exposing my computer to all sorts of Spyware
Threats.
There is something built into VLC Media Player that leaves
you vulnerable or helps spyware enter your computer.
But don't believe me test it for yourself.
