This video covers the very common 4:3 polyrhythm, perhaps most popularly found in Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu.

This was early access Patreon content for February, now released to the public.

I love your videos because I can hear and see the rhythm. Some teachers explain using mathematics but for me that's hard because when the teacher speaks math, I can't hear it. But when you perform the rhythm and I can see how it is written that makes understanding the rhythmic pattern easier to grasp.

The way I learnt this when I was a kid was to say "Pass the god damn butter" on each hit.

For years I struggle and struggle in practicing polyrhythm(s) and give up hope, while I thought for it's an impossible task. As a drummer for more then 40 years my taught was, it's burned in my brain to play equal and dividable rhythms. This is your second video I watch, and I learned to play 2 polyrhythms in 10 minutes. THIS IS AMAZING..REALLY!! Thank you mate! 💯😃😃😃

Great Thank you. My teacher passed this on with the phrase "Pass The Salt And PepPer" sorted my problem in Moonlight Sonata

This is a phenomenal presentation. Fantastic work. It was also the solution to my problem, a thousand blessings to you sir.
The visual of the W pattern was like a cheat code for me. I was doing it just fine before the video, with my fingers that is, and thinking way too hard, couldn't find the rhythm of it in my chest...
after the video- I'm doing it flawlessly, i can feel it, enjoy it, and I'm also putting in much less effort.

It's really nice to tap the table and see the lights flash red. It's like I'm really causing it to happen!

I’ve always been decent with rhythms, but as a tenor drum player, often found myself scratching my head at dci music. Thank you so much
