SSH clients for Linux, Mac and Windows

This SSH tutorial covers the Windows SSH client PuTTY SSH and the ssh command for Mac SSH and Linux SSH secure shell clients including man ssh.

We're keeping it easy because Data Science is anything but easy. We use the most basic method here using the IP address to log in. Linux and macOS are similar, and on the Windows end, I touch on programs: Cygwin, WinSCP and KiTTY plus what I'm using here called PuTTY (covered next). I also touch on advanced topics, left for later, such as ssh key login, configuration files, ports, failed attempts, logging, warning pages and tunneling.

Here we take notes in Linux nano and use a few Linux commands. Also included is our stack which includes: Debian Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) and presentation tools for the user experience such as Matplotlib, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
