Lol, I apparently had autoplay on and woke up to this playing after my original ambience. It was extremely unsettling and frightening to be shaken out of sleep by that dark thunder. What an overwhelming ambience…

the little ongoing ambient music/drone tones in the bg are so lovely under the storm sounds. makes it feel like part of a story; i'm a character at a low point, needing a decision-- do i go in? do i wait for something to happen? i'm so unsure, like from something bad that has happened just before, leading me here. it's melancholy but there is a tension, an expectation to it, almost. something is going to happen soon.

The organ music in grave and largo tempos gives a sense of depressing peace in a storm as though one embraces one's inner demons by candlelight while holding an unsheathed sword over burning incense before drinking hot beverages.
