Clone with EaseUS Todo Backup

Please download the EaseUS software from

1. Launch EaseUS Windows backup software and click "Clone" option to clone hard drive.

2. Select the source hard drive you want to clone and then click "Next" in the Disk/Partition Clone windows.

3. Select the destination disk and then click "Next". Here under Advanced options, "Sector by sector clone" option enables you to clone all sectors from source disk to destination disk.

4. Preview the disk layout and click "Proceed" to clone hard drive.

It works for me, no problem for now. From seagate 320gb to wd 1 tb. It automatically partitioned my 1tb into 320 gb (local disk A) and 699gb

Nice video but backing up and cloning are two different things. One backs up files and folders on your hard drive, meanwhile cloning makes an exact copy/replica of *everything* on your hard drive which includes not only your files and folders but also all your installed software and your operating system. Backing up is just something you do just in case you lose something but cloning copies everything on your system.

You said this is useful if changing hard drive, but lots of software already exists to do that and has for years. The thing i'd like to know is about transferring an image from one computer to one with a different motherboard chipset. How does this software manage that?

Thanks Andrew. I want to use this to clone to another PC, hot spare. Would I create a system image on an external HDD, Seagate, then clone from that image to the new PC HDD?

So cloned it—now windows won’t load/open at all. Get the error message at startup “Reboot and select proper boot device”; have already tried changed the boot priorities…

I left mine running a few hours ago, source is 1TB with 600GB free and destination is 480GB. It's been going a good three hours now and when I went to check up on it I have no display to the monitor but HDD light activity. How long should I give it until I turn it off?

I just did this but after I take out my old hard drive it says “reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key” i went into my bios to make sure it was booting from the new hard drive and it was, what’s the problem?

If you clone the C: system drive, wouldn't it set the partition of the new drive to the same size as the original boot drive in which case you can't use the rest of the space on the new drive as C:?

Hi there. I liked the video EXCEPT THE ENDING. YOU DID NOT EXPLAIN HOW YOU WOULD DELETE THE HARD DRIVES AFTER TURNING OFF YOUR COMPUTER, AT ALL! Could you possibly explain the process to remove the older Hard Drive? You literally just SHUT OFF your computer in VM and didn’t explain anything else. Mind being more thorough and possibly helpful?
