You know what makes me so happy, even with all of the problems we have today in this world? Watching a pro-Native discussion on a national tv show led by such a diverse group of my fellow human beings. There's hope for us yet. Wonderful. Thank you.

I wish they spoke more about why bison are important for the ecosystem. I think that is an important part of this discussion, as well.

How can these hosts not know bison were killed to subdue the native Americans?

You have most of this story wrong. I wished you would have interviewed bison ranchers. I have been raising buffalo for over 20 yrs.

Also, bison meat (yummy) is only 5% saturated fat, but marbled beef is 25%, a big difference that destroyed the health of Native Americans in conjunction with frybread and firewater.

If you stop hunting a species.... They will not go extinct...

Supposedly ...Ted Turner helped this happen by giving them land to multiply.... just my opinion 😊

Caught the show and the spot about the North American Bison or Buffalo being brought back from the brink... only recently? That is incorrect as this critter was never in any real danger as there were and are copious numbers in Canada. As it is the same critter as in the lower 48. Yet another case of Political self-delusion? More than likely. Watch PBS' Nature series concerning Canadian sorts of bison. The show was not quite correct, as well, about the 'white farmers' took over with the help of Uncle. The reason for all of this was the US Civil War and Abraham Lincoln's assumption about half of the way through that War, Lincoln figured that the War would really take a long time and as army's tend to travel and work on their collective stomach's, Lincoln thought that bringing in destitute folks from Scotland, Norway, or Sweden and then giving them 'free land, ' these newer farmers in these new environments would be able to grow enough food for the Union Troops to militarily beat those 'Johnny Rebs.' Y' know, to free those ill used enslaved African Americans? Along came Grant along with the Henry repeating lever action rifle and all else is history. But those Federal laws concerning very poor topsoil containing lands to the West were still on the books And as politician tend to get election or re-elected through giving stuff or money away (other people's stuff or money), that too is History. And then there are folks from Brooklyn, NYC that are upset with farmers or ranchers, as they too are also after Federal subsidies. …. if you watch your news programming over time. Sounds like they might have to raise the National Debt Limit, as there are monies and other free goodies to be handed out. Boggle. Watching your show and your lack of general knowledge is sort of embarrassing sometimes, y' know?
