I bought both, I couldn't decide which one would be best. Very happy with both, they do everything I want, between them as both have Advantages over the other for varying needs.

I'm happy to see that wifi connectivity was omitted. Flying with a phone is unpredictable and even dangerous and should be reserved for "toy drones". I even wish my Mavic Air didn't have the wifi option, it just complicates wired device->remote linking process.

It’s worth mentioning the DJI is going to provide a service that will allow you to switch the cameras out between the two by sending in your drone

I just purchased a Mavic 2 zoom. $1070 and it's awesome. I really wanted the zoom and all the advanced IA type advances. I have had the p3 p4 p4a MP and now have the MA and M2z. I am very happy I chose the M2z over the pro also you can just use Litchi to do waypoints and missions. Love DJI drones and I think the 2 best are the MA and M2 combos. I sold my MP and p4a and glad I did as the current combo is ideal for me.

Dji kept those missing modes out of the new Mavic pro 2 so they have something to give you later, they will release the in updates and we will think it is awesome because we the consumer have short memories

Thats weird, their website shows 1, 729 and 1, 439 respectively which is quite a bit higher than what you said in the video at launch. That's odd, prices for tech items usually start high at launch and go down, not the other way around.

I went with the mavic Pro 2 Zoom excellent camera and the zoom is unbelievable

thanks for the info on the Mavik 2 zoom. I want to use my drone for lost dog searching. I currently have the phantom 4 pro v2.0 and it works well but I think the zoom on the mavik will improve my searching. so two questions. 1 - do you think the zoom would work good for searching for dogs in field? 2 - what tablet were you using during the demo. What is the name and the size. That tablet looked perfect. Thank you and thanks for the info you shared.

Drones have taken videography literally to "new levels". And many aren't priced out of reach for most buddying videographers or casual users. The angles you can get. The distances they can travel (...though, you do want to be able to keep the drone in sight...even if it can fly 5 miles...do you want to have to run 5 miles to retrieve it before some one picks it up and takes it?). Do the Mavics shoot in 4k? Are there 4k drones?

I liked your in-depth review. A question. Along with the video encriped on your video card do you still get a low resolution version that is cvaptured & stored on your mobile phone?

Nice improvements all around for sure, but not as groundbreaking as the original Mavic. For the casual hobbyists, it's hard to justify replacing your MP1 with such a price jump. If you were a professional, then yes, this completely replaces a Phantom 4 in a smaller transportable package and is probably worth the upgrade.

Can you explain 7:15 what the benefit of WiFi is for a drone like this? Is it more than just a stable/reliable connection?

I just got mine for 2 days ago. Firmware update is not possible. Heeps of Mavic 2 owners on forums have the same problem. How did you resolve that? DJI is not repling and has closed the their forums on that issue since 4th of sept.
