The part with the "spooky Rose's Theme" honestly kind of breaks my heart. It's just like Steven is starting to see who Rose might've actually been. All his life he's been told that Rose was an angel, she was courageous, kind... he's only heard words of praise from the people who loved her. But the things that Greg was telling Steven contrasted so greatly to what he'd heard, and believed... maybe he was starting to take off the Rose-colored glasses he'd been wearing his entire life.

The moment Steven found out his mother...wasn't necessarily meeting the earth with pure intentions. This song in particular is so.. creepy.. we can hear the distorted version of Roses theme and it's just.. it makes you wonder if the Gems are doing the earth a favor, or if they're just repaying it for all that they..did..

i actually just started to watch this show for time killing, and now I don't just feel that this show is merely for time killing.... it was deeper than i thought, the characters have distinct psychological traits, and it even is related with war... best cartoon ever in my life

This is perfect "sh-t just got real"-moment music. We get the final conformation of previous hints that Rose Quartz was not just a wise compassionate being, but when necessary had to be a tough, even ruthless, warrior to protect the world she'd adopted as her own ("no such thing as a good war, kiddo").
