When Euler's Disk is spun, the disk contains both potential and kinetic energy. The potential energy is given to the disk when it is placed upright on its side. 2 minutes and 14 seconds is a very good time!! In my experience 1:30 seems about average for most runs, anything over 2 if great. My best time was 3:12, almost mythical but doable. I have had several go to 2:50+. BTW, it does not seem to make any difference which side is up, my longest runs have been on the 'wrong' side.
