Correction: Accidentally said 2000 - 2009 in the intro, we meant we're looking at banned films between 2010 and 2019. Thanks to those who pointed it out!

10. Call Me By Your Name (Tunisia)
9. The Hunger Games (Vietnam)
8. Deadpool (China)
7. Noah (multiple countries)
6. The Interview (North Korea and Russia)
5. Argo (Iran)
4. Wonder Woman (multiple countries)
3. The Human Centipede: Full Sequence (multiple countries)
2. Fifty Shades of Grey (multiple countries)
1. A Serbian Film (multiple countries)

I thought this would be more about dark, very controversial movies moreso (I know we got 2 or 3 of them, but still).

The biggest shock about Human Centipede is that there were not one but two sequels made. I only learned about these films, ironically, because of Deadpool 2.

‘Deadpool’ is still one of my most favorite Marvel movies, I don’t care what the people from China said.

When I was about 16 y/o I started watching shock value movies just to see how far I could handle it, things like I Spit On Your Grave, Last House On The Left, Irréversible, Cannibal Holocaust, even the infamous Begotten, everything well spaced out so I had time to recover from each one of them, then in 2012, when I was 20 y/o I heard about A Serbian Film and decided to watch it, it was then that i've discovered how far I could handle and told myself "fuck this movie and fuck these kinda of movies, never again", seriously, there are many things that I miss from my youth but watching those movies isn't one of them

The era of of Human Centipedes and a Serbian film
What are we really doing as a species ?

Haven’t watched the 2nd and 3rd centipede movie. The first was enough. I watched the Serbian one. That is definitely one you can’t forget. If you have ever experienced any kind of $exual trauma whether as a child or an adult then don’t even try to watch it unless you are capable of disassociating your feelings from it and seeing it only as it is, a movie.

As a Vietnamese, i don't remember the first "The Hunger Game (2012)" did manage to hit the theater or not. But I remember all 3 part later "Catching Fire" / "Mockingjay Part 1 and 2" did hit the theater here. A big splash i says!!

Argo. Although a great movie. It's historically inaccurate. It was mostly Canada not the United States who was behind the successful outcome of the Iranian hostage crisis.
