Several protesters taken into custody during rally at Capitol

Several people were detained Friday afternoon during a demonstration at the State Capitol to protest the state’s stay-at-home order amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The protesters are part of an effort called “Re-Open California” and are demanding Gov. Gavin Newsom to lift the statewide stay-at-home order. More than 1,000 people gathered at the Capitol grounds around noon, while other protesters stayed in their vehicles and drove around the property. Get the full story in the video above.
