Best Fred Thursday Moments (Roger Allam in Endeavour)

At some point they started putting Fred in a green hat. I barely noticed the green hat at first, but having spent a month distilling seven series of Endeavour into this 2-minute video I absolutely loathe that green hat.

Also it turns out there are two Roger laughs in Endeavour. I suppose they shall form the basis of an eventual Roger Allam Laughs Compilation Part Deux.

This video also features a bunch of other actors...
Shaun Evans as young Endeavour Morse
Anton Lesser as Chief Superintendent Bright
Dakota Blue Richards as WPC Shirley Trewlove
Sara Vickers as Joan Thursday
Jack Bannon as Sam Thursday
Cécile Paoli as Luisa Armstrong
Clive Wood as Vic Kasper

I love when he says he'll have to take off his hat. He's a classic!

We need an "Endeavour" prequel called "Thursday" about Fred's police career just after WWII. It would eventually include him and Win moving to Oxford.

My dad got me started on Endeavour (haven't read the books or watched the series this one's a prequel for), and I absolutely love Morse and Thursday. Roger Allam's voice is just so pleasant on the ears.

Fred Thursday. One of the finest characters ever to hit the screen. And If Roger never plays Maigret before he dies....I'll have to take my hat off.

"I'd believe that from a lovesick teenager but not from a man who makes his crust selling lime whip." 😂

1:47 I so wanted him to say "I'm bored with this, I'm going for a Twix"!

Absolutely brilliant series, all the characters have been allowed to grow, I hope they make another series.

You need also the scene from series 8 'Striker': 'Hello, Alf, who's your pal?' And Alf's pal picks up something to strike FThursday with, but cool as a cucumber, old Fred just knocks him down like a champ. And how about 'Best Dr. DeBryn moments'? Eg Jim Strange says of a victim that he 'choked on his own puke, ' and Dr DeBryn says, 'Been at the Keats again, Sergeant?' or 'I'm afraid Father Mahoney [in the confessional] got rather more of an earful than he was expecting. Shot through the screen. Body temperature and rigor suggests he joined the choir invisible.'

regarding that thunderbirds reference with sam and fred i can certainly picture jack bannon playing a live action captain scarlet and roger allam could play colonel white

Fredo, the complete personality all through Endeavor. Be like Fred, not like Jim.
