Here's a shorter way. When ya feel bad. Help someone worse off. Do good deeds. AND TELL NOONE.

When the main way of appreciating a person is clicking a thumb up icon you know we're all in trouble.

As teenage girl who doesn’t have anything about social media, I really like your message about nowadays. Because every time I watch and hear about scams on social media, I get disappoint. Like, I use social media just to contact with my friends (if I need help with school or something) and my family (if they need help or anything). There are 3 reasons why I don’t want to be like others:
1. I have many hobbies and creative ideas.
2. I know the dark true of social media.
3. As Muslim, I try to have faith with God.
It’s really sad how the people are being trapped while I’m not, I’m quiet and faithful girl who discovers and understands everything in reality. As I said, I wish that I live like in old days like to go outside. So see you and hear me out. 💖

The lyrics of the band Eagles from the 70's " Hotel California" We are all just prisoners here, of our own device. Everyone looking at their phones all the time. It's prophetic and creepy.

YouTube is the only online interaction I actually have. I do Google things when I have questions but other than that I do not do any other social media whatsoever. It is extremely damaging mentally and physically. The world would definitely be better at least without the social media aspect of it all.

Now and then I visit a local coffee shop where I see that everyone present has their face buried in their phone. This has taken myopia to a whole new level, well beyond visual: it is perceptual, social..even spiritual. This is quickly atomizing what we used to take for granted: basic regard for others, friendliness and connectivity.

Also the platforms force "friends" on you who you would have absoluteky nothing to do with in real life!

We have certainly prioritised being connected over the act of actual connecting. It's no wonder people are feeling unfulfilled.

Thank you for your commentary. I see so much unhappiness in this world of technology that it frightens me what's ahead for these folks following us. I was blessed to been born in 1950 and had the bestest that this world and this country had to offer . My heart breaks as for what may be ahead for these kids. If I were someone who believed in a being as a god, I would pray to them as it is I believe in something much much greater. Right or wrong it's our choices to make I just hope the best is chosen for our descendants. I'm afraid we've really let them down in so many ways❤
