Kathy Hochul is the CEO of the biggest Urban Doom Loop in the entire country. A UDL occurs when the value of commercial RE in NYC drops by 40% due to high vacancies brought on by Extended Covid lockdowns - work from home. Lower RE values = lower RE tax assessments = less tax money coming in.
Next, people and businesses frustrated by high taxes, high crime, and lower standards leave NYC = even less tax money coming in.
Third, add in the out of control spending + the billions in costs of housing and feeding illegal migrants = a slow moving totally unsustainable train wreck. Bad policies = bad outcomes !
