Libraries are the reason I'm an author. I discovered all the authors who influenced me most, in my early writing career, at the library. When I was in college I was so broke I couldn't afford food most of the time, but the library became my escape.

I love that we at D2D are all so determined to support libraries. It's one of my favorite things about the company.

I recently went to my local library to donate a paperback copy of my children's book based on a local fair. The lady at the desk looked it up and said since it wasn't in their system, they wouldn't be able to add it to the circulation. I was sad but said that I'd donate it anyway. She said maybe the librarian could figure out how to add it. I've been checking every day for the title but still nothing. A few days ago I thought about Smashwords and thought maybe if I'd make it an eBook on there that it would be in the system for the library to add it. I'm waiting for the review on Smashwords. Seems to be taking longer than it used to.
