The yamaha THR's are Next generation amps, they are 20 years ahead of their time! These things sound like you are hooked to a stack and have all the best effect pedals hooked in! Crazy how good they are! Not to mention they are METAL, built like TANKS!

That Boss is definitely looking and sounding pretty nice with the overdrive and all of those uploadable effects... Very home studio friendly.

I literally just wanted to hear the vox, for a small home recording I want to set up....nice.... I used to run an old rivera 100w tube head pre drive/shaping(had a lot of parametric stuff) then into my jcm 800 half stack...loved it....now I am old..all my gear is gone, but my childhood rocker is still alive...I am definitely going to get one(and an envelope filter or noise suppressor of some type :) ...thanks russel brand....keep that panterra going...some old cowboys from hell maybe :)...damn I am old.

Great video, Dagan & Co! Yamaha's modelling stands the test of time, methinks. The THR really kicks the rear end for what it is and offers. What strikes me is how rich & saturated it sounds even at low volume levels, plus it's a stereo. Loved the video, thanks!

Left out the best, the Peavey Vypyr Pro 100, but the best ever and it can be bought for very very little $ now is the Vypyr Tube 60, the amps and effects sound exactly what they were modeled on to the point where if you selected the Fuzz out of the stompbox bank of effects(has a stompbox bank and another bank which would be like running them through the FX loop) and put it through the Fender and then the Plexi amp models you can hear the differences and how they would sound through the real amps, and the hidden gem of that amp and all those first gen Vypyr amps(haven't tried it on the Pro 100 but it cant be worse) and especially the Tube 60 & 120 versions is the USB out for recording, would love to see a video of the battle of the budget amps from like 10 years ago and take people back in time and maybe further and show these kids how stuff was back in the day(could do so many videos with that concept!)
