Outdoor kitchen - yes. Final meal looked Many thanks to Chuck for sharing his dream, and to his family for helping him to achieve it. What wonderfully gracious people.

Ever consider setting up a raised bed to grow your own veggies? Might be a project for next summer, if you do nothing more than start a compost pile to generate soil for later. Building a frame to hold the soil would be easy. After that, grow your own root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, etc.) right there at the cabin, to supplement the fish, rabbit, and foul that you bag. Seems like good soil is the limiting factor at your cabin location.

I had the pleasure of working in the same organization as Chuck in Labrador for a number of years and I will personally attest that if everyone in the world were as good as Chuck Porter, the world would be a far better place than it is now. The first problem solved would be world hunger...lol
I've known his wife for a few years and worked with her as well, she's salt of the earth too. I refuse to pass by that cabin and not stop for a visit when I'm there...though he's usually not home and off on some wild adventure! haha
