Ahead of this year’s Nvidia GTC developer conference, CNBC sat down with founder and CEO Jensen Huang to talk about ChatGPT, gaming, the omniverse, and what’s next. In this full interview, Huang takes us on the journey of Nvidia, from its early days in a condo to the dominant player in GPUs, gaming, and now A, which is a major focus of GTC this year. Huang also talks about how he handled China export controls, and geopolitical tensions swirling around Taiwan where most of its chips are made.

I'm certain $NVDA is a no-brainer for the next few quarters, but $TSM is a better option too, as is $PLTR, with $AMD also performing well. I keep increasing my shares manageably, l'd add more into giant tech players who are solid in their own hardwares like $META and $GOOG

What a wonderful, mild mannered and thoughtful leader - Jensen is next level as a communicator. The interviewer is excellent as well who poses smart questions and lets Jensen do all the talking - the way it should be

I have to say whilst Jensen handles every interview well and is one of the top 3 CEOs in the world right now the quality of Katie Tarasov is unbelieveably refreshing. So many fall for the ego of trying to show their own knowledge rather than offering prompts to allow the Interviewer to speak. Exceptionally high quality interview.

Fun fact: NOT ONLY the World Chip Giant TSMC and its 80% employee are from Taiwan, but those US leading chip companies like Nvidia, AMD, Xilinx and Synopsys, all their CEO (decision makers) were coincidentally from Taiwan too!

A great interview! Nice job, CNBC. Now I am convinced, Mr. Jensen Huang is one of greatest technologist of our time. Nvidia's success is no accident. I can trust Mr.Huang and his team in lead position for at least next decade. Buy NVDA!!!

More quarters and outlooks from big tech names, powered by Nvidia (which has more chips than we thought!), as well as this trader FOMO, may lead to renewed buying strength in markets in September and October. I want to invest more than $300k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk

Really great questions and research done by CNBC. Admired Nvidia for a very long time as a casual gamer but the evolution of this company has truly opened my eyes. Great work again with this interview.

Taiwanese American accounts for only 0.2% of USA population. But they are everywhere in the tech world and top universities.

Jensen is always a pleasure to listen to - expands my mind every time. But kudos to Katie for such well organized and thoughtful questions. One of the best interviews in tech.

This is why GPU pricing wont go down. AI and B2B is NVIDIAs target market. They aren’t going to waste fab time making affordable GPUs for PC gamers

Wow I have to commend CNBC, Katie Tarasov, and team, for putting together a good interview with insightful questions that actually showed knowledge of NVIDIA’s history and the field of computing.

It was hugely serendipitous that the maths needed for computer graphics (drawing pretty triangle) and the way the GPU could do that maths in parallel, aligned with the maths needed for neural networks (simply multiply and add but across). (edit - great to see Jensen acknowledge that )

Excellent interview. Stands out to many other interviews.

2:10 He is rewriting history a bit. It started out as a graphics hardware company, with people spinning off of Silicon Graphics. Then, around 2007, people began using their GPUs for computing, despite a cumbersome software interface (API) for this purpose. NVIDIA saw the trend and turned in this direction.

This was such a great interview! I loved the questions this interviewer asked. Can we next time please show respect and use her name in the title also CNBC? She needs to be credited as the interviewer/journanlist.

Man, I've learned so much by just his answers alone. His explanations are just like his company's product. Complex but very easy to understand.
