Another great Two for Tuesday. Classic pair of knives. I will have to look up the 117 folding knife. That's pretty neat. Thanks for sharing Tom!!

Both look fantastic. I keep telling myself I'm going to get a buck fixed blade but I haven't so far. Thanks Tom.

Very nice. I am liking the looks of that 117 Brahma. I will have to check that out further. That and the 102. Thanks for sharing with us Tom.

Beautiful knives! A great walk down Buck history lane.
And I believe that your new secondary YouTube channel name should be... Professor Buck.

Birds Head Pommel. You almost got it :) I bought my Buck 119 way back in the mid 80's, when they where made out of 425HC steel. And its been a faithful companion for many trips into the woods. As soon as the Buck 117 was released in the standard format, I bought one. I missed out when they discontinued the 117. So I had to wait a few years to get one. If I where to go hunting again, I would take the 117 and 119 with me. Both good knives. I love them both.

What a delightful topic for a Tuesday Tom
I’m home from the hospital and everything went great with the first surgery Thanks for your prayers and support
I love my Buck Knives and was floored by my 117 when I got it It’s a peach in every sense of the word and the one of the Buck Phenolic Hunter Family that I would consider carrying as a personal defense edc It’s small enough to be unobtrusive yet stout enough to hold it own and get the job done if needed
And as Kirby Creek well proved it can do everything needed for most camping and light bushcraft work
I say it was on of the best $74 knife purchases I’ve made
Thanks for your reviews and your friendship You bring out the best in the community and in others
You are a delight

Thanks for sharing about these 2 classic Buck's. The 117 kinda looks like a smaller 2/3rd version of the 119. I think it would be good for someone with smaller hands or a youngster who's not quite ready to handle a 6" blade just yet. 👍Take good care my friend and Cheers!

The 119 is my favorite fixed blade, but I'm tempted to add a 117 to my collection as well. Very cool piece! Cheers, buddy!

That's a nice pair I like the 117 just alittle more than the 102. Stay safe.
