The Buck 120 is a Classic!

I've had a Buck 120 for 30 something years. Got it for my 15th or 16th birthday. I've never cleaned an elk, moose, or bear with it. Or an elephant for that matter. But I've cleaned a mountain of squirrels and rabbits with it. Used to use it quite a bit. Haven't use it much lately. Don't really hunt anymore. It's still in great shape.

Its almost like a scaled down bowie. Its an awesome design.

I've had mine so long the scabbard feel apart last year from rot. I'm just glad it broke in the truck and not lost in the woods. I've had that knife for more than 30 years. So I priced a factory replacement scabbard at $75. I'm thinking for that price i can get a custom one made.

I really like mine. Used it quite a lot for woodworking tasks. Good at making feather sticks, batoning, basic fire making. Ironically I haven’t used it for skinning or anything like that though.

I use an old timer skinner for elk, you don't need big knives you just need a Sharp thin blade 😂

I bought a Buck 120 back in 1977 at a sporting goods store for $20 I didn't just come with a sheath it came with a top folding holster.

My dad gave me his 119 when I was 6. I still have it and my favorite knife to this day.

Love my 120. My ex had my last name engraved along the blade in Old English letters. Probably, not the kind of thing to drop at a crime scene.

Ok. I carried a 119 whitetail hunting one year, when I gutted a buck, the butt was a big gaping hole. No way around it. At check in, all the old timers were laughing at it.
