Light Shines on Mount Sinai South Nassau’s Emergency Department Nurses

Mount Sinai South Nassau’s Emergency Department has been selected as one of only 94 recipients nationwide of the prestigious Emergency Nurses Association’s 2024 Lantern Award for outstanding patient care, including reducing wait times and for excellence in nurse retention, achieving a zero vacancy rate and 1 percent turnover rate.

The Lantern Award also recognizes the nursing staff's commitment to ongoing education and training and fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
