Can't park it inside because fire. Can't park it outside because it'll get stolen with a USB cable. Best case scenario is the car decides to catch fire whilst being stolen.

We live in a world where corporations have trained us to think anything less than a 5-star review may as well be a 1-star. That's just stupid. An 8/10 is a damn good car.

The Vision concept is exciting to see, but they need to actually build it. They need to prove it’s worth being excited about.

Glad I got the Hyundai Kona N and no issues 50k miles hiccup free I guess I’m one of the few lucky ones apparently cause even tho I live in the hood it doesn’t get stolen by Kia boys, No engine fire and no transmission being destroyed 🙄

I drive a 2022 Veloster N, manual, blue. Bought it new.

Car has been bulletproof since day 1.

Came to that car from a 2016 Audi A5, 6 speed.

This is the most fun I've ever had in a car and for that price it can't be beat. I mean maybe by a MX5 since it's a drop top, but for the price you can't beat it. N mode is a blast and when in eco mode on a flat highway at 65MpH I get 34MpG all day long.

The dealer experience has been great too. No regrets.

In December I had a 2021 Sonata rental car with 53k on it. Car was quiet, got 40MpG (non hybrid) and behaved crazy well for a rental car

As a worker in a Hyundai sealer shop, I can tell you right now, we do more blown engine swaps than any other dealer I’ve worked for. Mostly 2017 and older 1.6t and 2.0t’s not so much newer motors tho. But the Elantra N and N-line are pretty slept on still imo. Really good bang for your buck in power/int/and gearbox. But the 24’ SUVS are hideous imo. And really don’t like the camera mounted on the steering column watching you the entire time you drive.

I do think you are just one of those haters. Even myself, i hesitated getting hyundai. I had honda civic si, subie wrx and other mods cars anyone can list easily. I got a Hyundai EN 6MT. So far, not needing to modify(people still do and they all seemed to run fine.) and handling is beyond imagination. Honestly, pricing point is way better than type r, gti, even M2 competition in 2 stepped up performance car. But dont let that price and brand name fool you. One thing i can tell you is, Hyundai is ahead of any Japanese cars these days. Lexus? Try Genesis and talk about it. Reliability? Its really about the same. But hyundai warranty shines even more. I know people complain about the warranty but thats their own fault that they didn't change oil often and didnt keep any of maintenance records(well, thats because they didn't!)

This isn’t something most people have to worry about because the recall was for a tow hitch, which allowed rain to go into the tow hitch circuit, only one has been on fire and 5 had thermal damage. This the recall of over 500k to not be liable. People driving elantras don’t have a tow hitch.

What makes Hyundai different though? So you trust Toyota's unintended acceleration? Bring up BMW?... please every single Beamer (and Audi) owner I have has come to regret it because of major issues. Just buy what you like.

2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan. I have 198, 000 miles. I have only had 2 minor issues. The driver's side window actuator had to be replaced. I also had a fuel gage sensor that went bad. Very solid car.

Those hate comments are from people who didn't watch the video.

Keep up the honest good work.

People forget that the unreliability issues are only really happening in the US with locally manufactured hyundai/Kia's.
In Australia, we only get the Korean made models, and they're known for being reliable.

Also, hyundai/kias getting stolen isn't an issue here either because by law cars are required to have an engine immobiliser unlike the US.

The fact that he mentions BMW makes think he has not looked into that brand’s reliability. It’s worse than Hyundai and it cost 10 times the amount of money to fix a BMW.

Every single manufacterer has recall issues come up. Every one of them. They get fixes and they are fine after that

Im not enthusiast crazy about Hyundai but they make cheap reliable cars American brands are entirely unreliable and Japanese brands are getting too expensive Hyundai and kia is the way to go to get a cheap low maintenance reliable car
