When I’m alone I pay 100% attention to myself and my flaws and faults. When I’m with anyone else it’s almost like I don’t exist and the thing that matters is the other ppl.

I used to be this way and still care, but from a good distance. I’m getting older and I can’t keep giving from my already limited well.

I have trouble with finding myself in the role of enabler for people who don't want advice or guidance in their situation but rather just someone to carry them. Once I realize this I do step out and feel good doing so. You can't help people who only want help but you can sure die trying. I still care but I do realize now that most times stepping out does one of two things. It either gives them the space to make necessary changes or it gives them space to find their next host.

I know the feelings. It happened to me several times, even now with one acquaintance. How do we get that feeling and how do we know intuitively that that person has traits that we do not appreciate.

I know an INFJ who is absolutely suffocating with his care. He is not in control because we have had many discussions that he needs to pull it back and focus on himself much much more. He will be normal attentive for a short time ….and then the smothering attention starts in again. I know this channel is to uplift the INFJ but there doesn’t seem to be any objectivity in the assessment of the INFJ.

Yeah I can't do one-sided anything. Its a give & take & if they can't payattention to the first the door gets slammed. Go hire a shrink now!
