Wenzes, you are so right! In the face of my tendency to violate my own boundaries, I had to learn to choose myself first. Truthfully, it didn't feel good at first because I hated giving up on the other person, but I'm here to tell you that once I got used to it, you're right, it's the best lesson ever! It feels great to not be opening myself up to negative energy from hopeless people.

I have a friend who suffers from anxiety and says my presence helps her feel calm. When we talk I pay attention to how I am feeling and when I recognize my energy level gets to a certain point I have to get off the phone so that my energy isn't 💯 percent drained.
