Every other person I have seen uses Vortex. I always manually install mods. After failing to manually install bepinex several times, I decided to try vortex. It did not work either. I have been modding games for years. I do not know why or how this worked. And after 2 hours of failing, I have no desire to trace the pathways and figure it out. But obviously this is the way to go. Thanks.

Hello! Thanks for the info. I have a dedicated server and I'm trying to figure out how to apply mods for all players. Will they have to install them on their client? Also what would be great QoL mods for a server? Thx!

We downloaded 2 mods with a friend (in this way), we go into my world and my friend does not see our animals, garden, racks and some other things. (use game multiplayer)

Good video i just saw another very very shady server hosting video claiming "vanilla isnt gonna cut it you'll have to upgrade to valheim plus" completely inanse lol.
I havent modded the game at all yet but if i want to play multiplayer can me and my mates just install the same mods and play on valheim dedicated server or is there some tweaking you have to do with that as well? TY <3

I can’t start modded, it says that it failed to find directory and that I haven’t started the game at least once I’ve done it twice now I’ve been trying to mod for hours on steam deck. Do you know what might be happening?

I dont know if Im missing it but I couldnt see if the instruction was only shown client side?. If I want to add one in my Nitrado server how do i do that? I decided not to use Valheim Plus. It just never works for me but I would really like mods in my server.

So if you host the game through the game rather than launching an external dedicated server, all you have to do is this to add mods to it? How simple!
