This is probably the most concise and explicit demonstration of Push I've seen in three months of browsing around for clarification. Thanks!

One of the things I love most about Mad Zach is that in almost every video he'll just randomly break out into a groove that blows my mind.

You have gained a new fan. I love what you are doing I am saving up for a push and was doing some research and found your video. As a Ableton Live user for over 5 years I really appreciate your videos.

You actually can step sequence with instrument racks. There's a separate note mode that puts pitch on vertical and time on horizontal. Look it up.

really depends on your performance needs.. without faders I would absolutely need to be mixing on an external mixer or have some kind of bank of faders.. but I agree that it is one step up from the APC40 but Push + APC40 in the studio is going to be unstoppable! add a MIDI keyboard and of course a standard mouse and keyboard and that is pretty much all I need

agreed. I think this was the best walk through of a dj hardware product I've seen thus far. Fun to watch, and main functions were overviewed. Thanks zach!

I just got mine, with bag; looks but as a guitarist I don't have a clue of it - so it will be an adventure. thanks guys for posting the videos for rookies like me

That was a great demo for Ableton Push, by the way why you always have a hot sauce on your musical desk?

I fell in love with the video the second you started playing the Ableton. You have earned yourself a like and a subscribe.

Question: does the hotswap function work within push, two replace samples. And how much is push sold seperately?

A few years back was the first I ever saw the Push, and it was love at first sight.

Great video! I was a little skeptical about ordering the Push with my upgrade to Ableton 9 Suite but after watching this it puts my MPK61 to shame! Definitely ordering one now

can you hit record and physically turn the phaser nob you did around 12:00 and it save the input?

I love the sounds you are using, where do I get them? Are they for sale?

1st you'll want to go to the DJTT store & buy one our new "sporks" - designed by Ean Golden

once you've got your spork all set up and ready to go, we're ready to stab our first leaf

1 thing you'll notice right away about our new spork is just HOW good it is for stabbing, u just can't get this kind of stabability with a normal fork

I recommend going for a leaf near the top and trying to stab through several at once, this is an advanced move though so don't worry if you can't do it right away

I'm with you. The push might just be what gets me to choose ableton over pro tools or logic. I'm new to all this. Is the suite soooo much better than standard?

Best review of push! Any chance you could share a picture of what the bottom looks like? I'm hoping that it will fit, or be made to fit, the Maschine Stand. I like that angle and having a solid base.

Nice review: My two cents after living with the Push for 30-days and returning it to the store:

Pros: Finger-drumming/playing is fun and makes you come up with stuff you probably wouldn't on a keyboard/guitar / Build quality and pads are lovely - although pads might be too firm for some / Fun to use

Cons: Step-sequencer and 'navigation' around scenes/patterns via multicolored blobs is pretty abstract and didn't become intuitive

Function hierarchy of buttons is confused and compromised - I'd often wonder why I couldn't hear something - wrong mode, wasn't showing me mutes/solos etc - scared me for using it Live...

Also I couldn't see myself using it in a live situation - too expensive and you would need a nice flight case to keep it safe

Push's display isn't great and doesn't 'mirror' the laptop in a way that is easy and intuitive

Ultimately it didn't enable me to do anything better than i could've done it with my laptop - at least not to justify the $600

Looking at Touchable on the iPad - my background is more from guitar/bass/drums + traditional DJ'ing.
