Thank-you so much, we're just learning about logarithms in class. I'm always keeping an eye out for your videos they are amazing.

log2(16) + log2(sqrt(2))
log2(16) + log2(2^(1/2))
4 + 1/2
9/2

I just started watching his you tube shorts and I wish all Math teachers teach like him. His explanations and use of arrows makes it easier to learn and understand the flow of the problem.

Idk why I’m watching this. It’s giving me anxiety.

I’m going to have dreams about not studying enough for a test.

You got yourself a subscriber tho 😂

Another method is using the log laws so you can decompose log base 2 of 16root2 into log base 2 of 16 + log base 2 of root 2 = log base 2 of 2^4 + log base of 2^1/2= 4log 2 of 2 + 1/2log 2 of 2 = 4+1/2 =8/2+1/2=9/2

I think the method (solving for x by turning the log expression into an exponential expression) in the video is neater if you want to arrive at a solution without any hassle.

I just realized you can also turn 16√2 to 2⁴•2½ which is 2^(9/2) and logging it to base 2 leaves 9/2 = x
