I play the flute and i’ve only played key of C ever since i started a couple years ago. I was planning on getting one of these flutes in the key of D but i’m not sure if the fingerings are the same as the flute in C or if i would basically have to re-learn the instrument again. Is there any differences i should know about?

What is used to clean out the long C & D flutes after use? Is there a very long swab that reaches up inside?
