Mobile phones to be banned in NSW classrooms

Phones will be banned from New South Wales classrooms by October with the promise made by Labor at the state election to begin consulting with schools today about how to introduce the rules.

It's believed the government has backed away from plans to introduce reception jamming technology on campuses.

New South Wales joins South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia to ban devices in secondary school.

Although a distraction I'd still rather a child had the option to record anything that shouldn't be happening in school away from parents eyes and ears

I've mixed feelings about this, on one hand, they don't need the distraction but if teachears are pushing CRT or teaching about transgender equality and sex education that's inappropriate, then the phone could capture this..!🤔. TEACH MATH AND STOP DOCTORING THE KIDS !🙁😖

Anyone saying this is wrong, pull your kids out of the system and home school. Dont whine because they cannot have a phone for you to contact them at school or vice versa, there is a school phone to ring and for children to use if required.
