I've published one medium content children's book n one low content book in amazon kdp. Not a single copy has been sold yet. The children's book is coming up on top on its niche. Still no sell .. no clue what to do

Sean, I recently published my third novel (high content) in 2023. I've followed your tutorial on Amazon advertising, especially manual word search selections; I'm doing a $30/day budget, and all I get is a few clicks and tens of thousands of impressions. NO SALES! I don't understand this. I've garnered good reviews, but I get no sales. My series is called "Table For One" - the Jacques Rousseau Mystery Series. Book 1 is entitled, "The Standard." Book 2 is "The Dying Season." Book 3 is "A Dish Served Cold." My stories are all about a world-class chef who is a serial killer. He runs a top-flight operation and has the backing of the Mafia in Chicago. This is a solid hook, in terms of material, but....I CAN'T GET ANY SALES! Can you please help? Hey Sean, if you run Amazon ads, do you have to keep running them regularly so that your book gets a higher ranking, or is it something you can do once, just for a definite time period, after which Amazon just keeps it at a high enough rank so that you can get consistent traffic without having to run ads for your books over and over again?
